    What are limiting beliefs and how do we stop them? What are limiting beliefs and how do we stop them?

Limiting beliefs are negative, self-defeating thoughts or ideas that can hold us back from achieving our goals and reaching our full potential. These beliefs can be conscious or unconscious, and they often arise from our experiences and the messages we receive from the world around us, including from family, friends, media, and culture.

Limiting beliefs can be very damaging, as they can prevent us from taking risks, pursuing our dreams, and living a fulfilling life. They can also lead to negative self-talk, anxiety, and depression.

To overcome limiting beliefs, it is important to first become aware of them and identify where they come from. Once we recognize our limiting beliefs, we can challenge them by examining the evidence for and against them, questioning their validity, and reframing them in a more positive light.

The earliest written record of yoga is found in the Rig Veda, which is one of the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism, dating back to around 1500 BCE. The Rig Veda describes the practices of yoga, including various postures and breathing techniques.

Over the centuries, yoga continued to evolve, and various schools of yoga were established. The most famous of these schools is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which were written around 200 BCE. The Yoga Sutras describe an eight-limbed path to achieve self-realization, which includes ethical principles, physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. These limbs are considered the 8 limbs of yoga.

Today, yoga has become a global phenomenon, with millions of people practicing yoga all over the world for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
